Jimmy Choo & Ugg Australia announce collaboration

Jimmy Choo yesterday announced it is to collaborate with Ugg Australia to produce a collection based on Ugg’s traditional boot design.

To be launched in October 2010, there are to be 5 different styles in a range of colours with prices currently quoted between £495 and £695 (A$872 and A$1,225).

Jimmy Choo collaborated with Hunter last year to produce a pair of wellington boots in mock-croc with a leopard skin flock lining and signature Jimmy Choo buckle for the boot strap. This was an elegant collaboration which bodes well for the deal with Ugg Australia.

It will be highly effective PR in Europe and the US where Ugg’s have been a celebrity favourite for some time. One can only assume the collaboration will help Jimmy Choo’s profile in Australia also.
